Seminars

As with any profession one should take the time to advance their knowledge by attending seminars relating to their field.  Over the past years I have attended seminars on Structure and Movement, Nutrition, the over vaccination of our dogs/cats, handling seminars, breeding better dog seminars.  If there was a seminar being offered, even if a 3 - 4 hour drive, I was there!!!!

A lot of people just don't understand that there is a big difference between someone who raises dogs for the betterment of the breed over someone who is just in it to "raise dogs".   Those that raise dogs for the betterment of the breed do the seminars, are active members of a breed club, show their own dogs and don't base their kennel lines on "one" champion they had purchased from elsewhere.   True breeders also don't sell puppies for breeding just because it is going to give them a bigger price!!!

New pet owners really need to do their due diligence in doing their research to find a reputable breeder that is raising true representatives of the breed they are looking for.
